Cinematographer / Producer

We are seeking a hands-on video producer to join our team and assist in creating compelling and visually stunning static and video content optimized for social distribution. The video producer will play a crucial role in capturing the essence of our brand and our projects, and will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production process of photo and video shoots. The video producer will have the exciting opportunity to help shape this new role and grow it from the ground up.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end video production process.
  • Collaborate with our creative team to conceptualize and plan video shoots, ensuring that the vision and goals of each project are met.
  • Manage and maintain studio equipment (e.g. cameras, lights, sound equipment).
  • Operate video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices to capture high-quality footage and audio.
  • Capture interview and B-roll footage, including close-ups, wide shots, and detail shots, to enhance the storytelling and showcase the design elements.
  • Edit raw footage into engaging videos that align with our brand’s style and tone.
  • Apply color grading, audio mixing, and other post-production techniques to enhance the overall quality of the videos.
  • Stay updated with the latest videography trends, techniques, and equipment to continuously improve the production quality.
  • Collaborate with the content creation team to brainstorm new video concepts and provide input on creative decisions.
  • Assist in managing and organizing video assets, ensuring they are easily accessible for future use.
  • Upload and post videos to different social media platforms, and write copy for the posts.

 

Requirements

  • Videography, photography, and editing experience.
  • Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices.
  • Strong knowledge of video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro) and photo editing (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom) software, and other post-production techniques.
  • Understanding of composition, framing, color theory, lighting, and other cinematography principles.
  • Extremely knowledgeable about current trends and social platforms TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Extremely organized and able to multitask.
  • Expert at freelance time management, working independently, and meeting tight deadlines.
  • A creative mindset with the ability to translate ideas into visually appealing videos.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects throughout all stages of production.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with the creative team.
  • Willingness to travel to shooting locations.
  • Must have access to a vehicle, a clean driving record, and up-to-date vehicle registration and insurance (business mileage to be reimbursed).
  • Experience with social media content creation and/or management is a plus.
  • Experience being in front of a camera is a plus.
  • Copywriting skills / experience are a plus.

 

This full-time position includes paid time off (holidays, sick, and accrued vacation days) and the ability to participate in a 401(k) plan with employer matching. Discretionary bonuses are also awarded. Salary commensurate with skills and experience.
