We specialize in one-of-a-kind vintage items, each of which is sold “as-is” due to its unique and often time-worn nature. By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and accept these terms.

Overview

“As-Is” Condition: Our inventory consists primarily of one-of-a-kind vintage items and may show signs of age, wear, or patina. We make every effort to describe items accurately, including any notable flaws. However, due to the unique character of vintage pieces, slight variations or imperfections may exist. By purchasing a vintage item from us, you acknowledge and accept that minor imperfections may be present.

Policy Disclosure: In compliance with California Civil Code § 1723, this Return Policy is clearly posted on our website and/or at our physical point of sale (if applicable). By completing a purchase, you agree to the terms outlined below.


All Sales Final

Due to the unique nature of our inventory, all sales are considered final. We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for reasons such as a change of heart, buyer’s remorse, general dissatisfaction, or minor condition discrepancies already disclosed.

Exceptions – Not as Described or Shipping Damage: If an item arrives in a condition vastly different from its product description or is damaged in transit, please see Section 4 for how to proceed.


Shipping Insurance

We require shipping insurance to be purchased for every order to help cover the cost of any damage or loss in transit. The cost of this insurance may be included in your shipping fee or itemized separately. Shipping insurance allows us to file a claim on your behalf if your package is lost or damaged, expediting any potential refunds or replacements in eligible cases.

Limited Return Eligibility

If your item is damaged during shipping or significantly not as described, please follow these steps:
  • Notify Us
    • Please email hello@agathus.com within 7 days of delivery with your order details and photos/videos of the item and its packaging.
  • Review & Resolution
    • We will review your submission to determine if the item qualifies under our return policy.
      • For transit damage, we will file a claim with our shipping insurance provider. Your refund, replacement, or alternative remedy will depend on the claim outcome.
      • For items significantly not as described, we will authorize a return.
  • Return Shipping
    • You may be required to return the item to us. In most cases, the cost to return the item will be covered by us or the shipping insurance if the return is due to transit damage or the item being significantly not as described. If an item is being returned for any other reason (in rare exceptions we pre-approve), you are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service and maintaining insurance to ensure the item arrives safely back to us. Items must be returned in the same condition in which they were received, including all original packaging (where applicable).
  • Refund Processing
    • Once we receive and inspect the returned item, approved refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 15 days after the return or claim is finalized.

We reserve the right to modify this Return Policy at any time without prior notice. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. By placing an order, you agree to the current terms.
